It is also important to us at Fur Services Fur Pets that we pay our employees a fair wage that exceeds minimum wage. We believe that paying well ensures high quality team members. We work tirelessly to ensure that all our Pet Companions are properly trained. In addition to training with a veteran pet sitter/team member; each new pet sitter goes through multiple online and book training programs to ensure well-rounded animal care, behavior and safety knowledge. To that end, we are paid members of the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS), the International Boarding & Pet Services Association (IBPSA) and Pet Sitters International (PSI).
It is our goal to be continuously building on our pet-care knowledge. We work to educate ourselves to become the best in our field and maintain high standards of care. Most of our team goes through a hands-on Pet CPR/First Aid Certification program. Jessica and Chris also regularly attend conferences and certification programs to acquire the latest pet-care knowledge.
These professional organizations (PSI, NAPPS, IBPSA) not only set the standard of care in the Pet Care Industry, they challenge its members to raise the bar of pet care through certification programs, monthly educational events, national conferences and opportunities for continuing education.
